Guest guest
I'm confused. I need to know the functions of Enzymes and Probiotics in digestion. Do they overlap? Here's my understanding. Probiotics: They are in the gut. Small intestines. Not in large intestines? They break down food so they are small enough to go through to blood vessels. They also eat up bad candida and other bad bugs. Enzymes: They start in the stomach. They get there in the first place via the pancreas? I sprinkle them on my food to help break it down. They are found in saliva also but not protein or fat ones. Are they also in the intestines? Just small or also large? Function there? I just bough expensive probiotics. I make kefir so am I spending money I don't need to? My son doesn't make kefir so I thought to give him these probiotics. Good idea? As good as kefir? He's prone to feeling sick when he does things good for his body but won't read anything about the herksheimer (sp?) reaction so just stops taking the good things. If anyone has answers to my questions I would be so appreciative.
