Guest guest
Hi I'd always recommend supplements and getting on the BBD. These two things helped me so very much before my CCSVI procedure (Nov. 2010) and they still do now as the two approaches together provide my body with the correct fuel it needs to run well. I'm a huge supporter of the BBD as it suits my body and it has always given me more energy than I have ever had before. I honestly think that you should try the recommended supplements and the BBD for six months and see how you fare. Looking into CCSVI is a personal choice and I know you've already formed an opinion on it, but as always, I do encourage everyone to at least look into whether they're showing signs of it. I hope this helps to be encouragement to you to try the Dietary and supplementary approach. 'What we do in life, echoes through eternity.' MARCUS AURELIUS (121 - 180 A.D.) Guest guest
I had the same results with LDN. I stopped taking it and I have gotten better with nutrition. I'm trying Prokarin now and instead of just halting the progression of disease it is restoring some of my functions. My first obvious symptoms of MS were mobility issues. I'm starting to doubt the immune system hypothesis. Look into Elaine DeLack's theory of why histamine is defecient in PWMS, its effect on cyclic AMP and what that does in your body. > > hi guys > > ms dx 1995 primary progressive, slow deterioration in walking ability, now in a wheelcha
Guest guest
Hi , It's a bastard, isn't it! I was diagnosed the same year as you (1995) and have Primary Progressive and live my life in a wheelchair. I'm not at all surprised you are clinically depressed. You only live ONCE - fact - and so when I was told I had MS (not that the neuro would say the actual words) I thought embrace it, see how you can turn it into something advantageous. I haven't picked up a vaccuum cleaner since nor taken the rubbish out I forgot everything I used to like that relies on standing and walking and concentrated on things you can do from a chair. I am now so passionate about art that it overshadows everything else. When else would you have time to devote to drawing exclusively. I feel I have now got where I want to be with art so why doesn't the MS just f$$$$ off, I don't need it anymore. And I feel it has - CCSVI treatment has helped so much but it'll take time for the whole body to benefit. The 3 things that have helped me the most are the Best Bet Diet, their recommended supplements and CCSVI. Second to that, exercise (yoga and swimming) and marijuana for pain. Although most of my MS symptoms vanished after CCSVI treatment I still have problems with mobility (i.e. I can't!) Before CCSVI treatment I couldn't balance at all, now I can stand for 30 seconds. Before I could do one or two steps with a walker, now I can do 8 metres. The spasms have gone, the leg stiffness isn't as bad, I only get cramp very very occasionally for a split second on waking, and I still have cold feet that swell in the heat. Everything else has gone. It is exciting to again feel that my life is beginning to turn around. I really would recommend the BBD and think a lot of your problems could diminish if not go away. The supplements too are well worth it. In particular get yourself some vitamin D3 and maybe MSM (my 2 favourite). Don't touch the pharmaceuticals! I am still monitoring people like yourself and whose MS seems most similar to my own and for whom LDN hasn't done a lot. I still have it up my sleeve if CCSVI treatment doesn't go any further. MS is something you can't just sit back and watch take over. You have to be pro-active. It's a full-time job. Get out there and win the fight Janet o: lowdosenaltrexone ; mscured ; LDN_Users From: peter.nicholls@... Guest guest
It isn't a quick fix for me since I am so far into MS. I notice that some things have gotten easier for me to do. I stand better but not without holding onto something. My fatigue has improved but I have to put my head down sometimes. Doing that used to make me dizzy. I haven't had that issue the last few times that I leaned over the table to rest. My guess, because that's all that is available to me, is that iron in my brain is hitting a nerve. I'm keeping CCSVI open as an option. > > > I do plan on trying Prokarin but not yet. I want to wait a year since my CCSVI treatment to see how far it will go. > So glad it is helping you. Guest guest
You all ought to start taking digestive enzymes, particularly HCL with pepsin. According to some articles that I read, a person with MS has trouble digesting protein and making the enzymes required to do it. Free-radicals come from particles of undigested food (among other things). I have had some success with enzymes. > > Hi Tim, > I started on Reishi which is a mushroom and it has done wonders! Guest guest
hi joy, good news for you, but i thing getting prokarin in the uk is difficult? regards peter To: mscured Sent: Wednesday, 11 May 2011, 20:03 Subject: Re: Neuro Muscular problems  My leg stiffness, cramps, spasms are gone since I have started taking the prokarin. Also my bowels and bladder work without any issues like constipation or leakage. I am getting stronger and the cog fog is clearing. I would try the prokarin and see if it has a positive effect on you. I was very close to being wheelchair bound at the time I started it. Its only been a few months of treatment for me, but the improvements are still happening. A few weeks ago the foot drop was decreasing. ________________________________ To: " lowdosenaltrexone " <lowdosenaltrexone >; " mscured " <mscured >; " LDN_Users " <LDN_Users > Sent: Wed, May 11, 2011 3:10:46 AM Subject: Neuro Muscular problems  hi guys  ms dx 1995 primary progressive, slow deterioration in walking ability, now in a wheelchair  been on ldn since 02 december last year but cannot seem to get the dosage correct, started on solution, 1ml 1st month then up to max 4.5ml but not seen much improvement but will continue as treating as long term fix  if anyone has same dx as me with similar problems [leg stiffness, cramps, neuro pain, spasms] would appreciate suggestions and advise, ldn i get scrip from nhs doc and source from dicksons glasgow uk  doc has also prescribed baclofen [10mg 3 x day] and clonazepam [0.5mg 3 x night] plus 1 x 10mg nortriptyline [2nd generation amiltriptyline, less side effects] not keen on any of these due to side effects  do not take any vitamins, supplements nor minerals, nor avoidance diet  also have monthly b12 injection hydroxocobalamin 1ml  told i am clinically depressed due to ms  any reply greatly appreciated  regards/peter/ppms/london

Guest guest
Your comment made me laugh " a wheeler with neuro problems " and although I am sure you are referring to neuroLOGICAL problems, we probably have more neuroLOGIST problems especially as, as we all know, MS is all in our heads and doesn't really exist! (Said tongue in cheek, before you beat me up.) BBD is easy. Don't wait until you've looked into it fully or you'll never do it. Stop one of the food groups NOW, e.g. gluten (wheat, barley, oats, rye) and replace with corn, quinoa, millet, buckwheat, amaranth, chestnut, or dairy (cheese, milk, cream, yoghurt - all - cow's, sheep's, goat's or yak's!), replace with nut milk, rice milk, hemp milk, quinoa milk, amaranth milk or coconut milk. Wait a month before you tackle the next. Start vitamin D3, nearly everyone is deficient in it so it won't harm. Get blood tests at your GP to see if you are low on other minerals and vitamins. Good luck and keep enjoying people watching. Janet To: mscured From: peter.nicholls@... gives me inependence and solitude that is sometimes hard once your a wheeler with neuro problems looking into bbd vitamins, minerals and supplements, yes, but as we are all different, difficult to know what to take
Guest guest
I take Betaine Hydrochloride w/Pepsin after breakfast and dinner. I found that 2 tablets after a meal help prevent bloating and aid digestion. I do not take it after lunch because lunch is usually a salid or a live juice. -Tim > > > > Hi Tim, > > I started on Reishi which is a mushroom and it has done wonders!
