The Hispanic Community Center here is full of drivel on disease testing and so

forth.

The latest brochure comes from the AARP:

No lo dude--VACUNESE. Tomese eltiempo para luchar contra la gripe.

Test sobre la Vacuna Anti-Gripal----Cuanto Sabe Usted?

I don't understand the title but two inner pages are a Q & A list:

" La vacuna le transmite la gripe. Falso! " (Vaccines transmit the flu. False!)

{further detail on killed virus.}

" Las inyecciones de la vacuna anti-gripal son solo para gente anciana o enferma.

Falso! " (The flu shot is just for the elderly or the sick. False!) {more

detail}

" Usted no necesita vacunarse todos los anos. Falso! " (You don't need a flu shot

every year. False!) {more detail}

" La vacuna no es 100 por ciento segura, do modo que vale la pena arriesgarse a

sufrir la gripe. Falso! " (No vaccine is 100% safe....)I don't understand the

rest

" Los antibioticos curan la gripe y hasta quizas ayudan a evitarla. Falso! "

(Antibiotics cure the flu. False!) I don't understand the rest.

They really want you to have the shot - no just-for-some-people, no excuses.

You all hafta do it, you gotta do it every year. You can't even trust

antibiotics! Well, there are two more pages explaining " when " you should get

shots, complete with chart. Naturally, it recommends that everybody in its

reading audience - over age 50 - receive the shot. The back has crap about the

CDC.

Two words on the back stuck out of the rest, " virus detestable " . So I skimmed

the rest. It calls the flu a respiratory infection. Funny I didn't know that.

Sure enough, those innermost pages say 20,000 people/per year die of it!

They're confounding it with pneumonia.

(I learned that trick on other vax websites.)
