Guest guest
, if you haven't already, I'd suggest that you get a copy of DR. BERNSTEIN'S DIABETES SOLUTION; Dr. B. is a cardiologist who is a diabetic himself, and he's tested all his theories on himself and his patients. Try to eliminate sugars and starches from your diet. It is impossible to eliminate them entirely, but the fewer the better. Potatoes, white rice, white pasta, white bread, winter squash, fruit juices (any processed/cooked fruit, for that matter), and of course pastries, candy, and regular soda are OUT. Small amounts of whole grain pastas and breads are OK, as is fresh fruit, especially berries (try to eat the fruit unpeeled as much as you can). You can eat most root vegetables, other than potatoes and beets, although you should minimize the carrots. Turnips, parsnips, and rutabagas are OK. Summer squash are great, as are most cruciates (bok choy, cabbage, broccoli, brussles sprouts, etc.) Mushrooms are great. Nuts are great. You should eat lean meats and you should avoid fried foods. > Hello, my name is and my dh was diagnosed with diabetes just > yesterday. Guest guest
I to took the Interferon's, I took Beteseron for a year, Copaxone for a year, and just 1 injection of Avonex. Well, these med's made me worse and the severe side effect's never went away as most of the drug fact's stated that they became less severe after 6 mo's or so. I developed severe allgeric reaction's to Betaseron, and Copaxone after a few month's but, people talked me into staying on the medication to see if it got better!! NOT!!!!!!!! And the only shot of Avonex I took almost killed me.SERIOUSLY at one point in the early morning hr's i woke up to a shaking bed where my body was shaking uncontrollable and I thought that this is the end. Do i regreat taking these drug's YES. WOULD i TAKE THEM AGAIN? NO. Subject: Re: New member intro To: mscured Date: Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 3:20 PM Â I was on Avonex for 1 month and Copaxone for 1 year. They did absolutely nothing for me and, I suspect, may have been causing more damage. > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > > Date: Tue, May 10, 2011 at 8:53 AM > Subject: Re: Yahoo!
