I don't care too much about the specifics, just trying to use critical thinking

to analyze Prokarin before jumping on every bandwagon I hear about like I used

to do in the past. What I read was that EDMS LLC was a company started by Elaine

Delack and her husband Marvin. The Custom Rx Shoppe told me that they have the

formulation that Elaine worked with them to figure out how to make the discs and

they are specifically affiliated with Elaine. Whether there is any profit

involved, I don't know.

I do think though that just like LDN, BBD, CCSVI, EAP injections, Klenner,

various diets, and chelation, and other protocols for MS work for some and not

others, likewise the Prokarin appears to work for some with MS and not others. I

don't think that it has to do with incorrect diagnoses of MS, although that may

be the case some of the time. I think it has to do more with the fact that what

is called " MS " is caused by different factors in different people and there is

no-cure-fits-all for this " MS " umbrella classification. That also helps explain

the wide range of presentations of " MS " beyond what can be explained by what

healing methods are used.

I just read a story of someone who went 12 years between MS attacks without

making any lifestyle changes. I read another story of someone who had 3 attacks

in the 1970s and none since then--also without making any changes. Other people

are highly dsabled within a matter of a few years. This " MS " in my opinion is

just an umbrella term for people with some overlap of symptoms and generally

lesions on brain and eleavations in spinal tap proteins and evoked potentials.

Nevertheless, I am definitely open to trying new things. Joy's story did inspire

to me and I am keeping an open mind about Prokarin. I do wonder why it is only

hundreds who have tried Prokarin while thousands have tried CCSVI. Each seems to

have a range of outcomes.

Not trying to be a buzzkill--just tyring to look with a critical eye.

It's tied to Elaine DeLack because no-one else makes it except for the people on

GoodShape who make their own and compounding pharmacies. She has no company,

just a non-profit LLC that helps people get it. It isn't promoted as a cure and

Elaine has used it for 14 years on herself. She developed Procarin/Prokarin for

herself and shared her findings with the rest of us. She was not out to make a

huge profit. The FDA wouldn't approve it, drug companies wouldn't study it or

manufacture it because they couldn't make any money with

Yeah Tom, that is my sense of it. I question how it could be on the market for

over 10 years and not have gotten more attention. I heard that Elaine was even

on the Montel show once. I would guess it works for some and not others, just

like many other things. I was one of the ones for whom LDN did not work and that

was supposed to be a miracle too. I tried it for 3 years--at different doses--I

think certainly enough time to evaluate. I got worse during that time. I am

slightly better since going off because I sleep better without LDN, but I

digress. My point here being that it will be interesting to see if others can

replicate Joy's improvements with Prokarin but we still have to see. As to why

" all the rage " died down, I don't know--either people didn't wanto to pay for

it, couldn't get their docs to write scripts, or it didn't work--would be my

guesses.

I have been diagnosed with MS since 1984 and have done well without any drugs

other than LDN.

A number o years ago " Prokarin " was all the rage and supposed to be " THE "

miracle cure. However, it is not that. It may help some then again it may not.

So go slow, be careful and educate yourself.

Tom Bayuk

Thank you.  It is such a blessing.  I can now afford to put on one patch every

day instead of stretching it out trying to make it last !!!  I am so

thrilled.

Now if everyone else can have such luck with there insurance.

I think there was a misconception about it being a cure because some people in

their testimonials, on other sites, said that it remyelinates the nerves. That

is probably an incorrect statement, else after a while it should be able to be

stopped instead of being an ongoing treatment.

I think like said if someone has tried lots of other things and still

has symptoms than it's worth trying other things. Prokarin probably has less

risks than CCSVI, in terms of the restonis issue.

My point being just that I do agree with idea of keep trying different things if

the same things aren't working. I just think we can't go over the moon over

excitement with everything that comes along.

I don't think prokarin is a miracle cure.

However, it is very helpful with decreasing my symptoms.  I only hope it helps

others as well as it is helping me.  That is why I though I would tell everyone

my improvements.  I plan on continuing it due to the results.

I got this response from the GoodShape group:

You might try

Mon Mar 28, 2011 15:26

74.93.75.65

a phone consult with the Tahoma Clinic. Ellis is the naturopath

there. I do think that Dr. actually fills the prescriptions.

That's how I did it. I then used the Custom Rx

Prescription Shop and they have an offer for the first month free. All

that cost me was the $25.00 shipping.

I called, they directed me to another number and they are sending a form

by email for me to fill out.
