Called Jarro-dophilus EPS. It's strep-free. Culturelle is another good one, but some people have problems with it. They can all be found at iherb.com. Guest guest
you might want to research titanium dioxide before you buy that probiotic. I'm not sure if that is something good for our kids or not. We all have to be so careful what we give them. Yes, I've been on 50-100 billion good bacteria a day for the last four years. And other herbs like Pau D'arco, olive leaf extract, oregano oil for a short time (which wasn't good for my bowel). Also l-glutamine, candida diet, and nystatin and Diflucan periodically. Doing all I can but my liver's not too good so doc doesn't want to use Ketoconazole or heavier drugs. Neither do I. But life is fine with not much pain. I'm not complaining! Ros

It's ANTIbiotics that we need to be very careful about. Guest guest
My 15 yo has been GFCF since age 5yo but not SCD. He can eat potatoes and Canadian Bacon or Ham without too much reflux. Most other foods do cause reflux. Culturelle probiotic does not cause reflux and it helps him a lot. Probiotics with strep strains in them do cause reflux - at least the Kirkman brand does. Guest guest
This is just pure speculation, but I'm raising betta fish fry and having pretty good luck - none of them are getting sick or anything. I met someone who has been doing it for years and hasn't had as good luck. He thought maybe it was what I was feeding them. I've been feeding mine a kind of nematode (small worm) that lives on a grain/yeast mixture. They actually eat the yeast and bacteria that grow in the culture. When you mix the grains and yeast (I used either oats or barley flour) you get all the wild bacteria that are also in sourdough. I'm starting to wonder if part of the reason my fish are doing so well is the probiotic effect of all these " sourdough " bacteria that get in the water because they're covering the nematodes. Many professional breeders say you're lucky if half the fry make it to adulthood. Out of a spawn of around 200 I think so far we've only lost around 12. Since the male betta fish each need their own container as they get bigger, it's kind of a problem! I also wanted to share we put our dogs on a very low carb but fairly high fat diet when we switched them away from commercial dog food. They're both losing weight (they were fat). They don't seem hungry much of the time, just at mealtime. It's got me inspired to try again at the Eat Fat, Lose Fat thing.
