Hi Tim,

Great to hear the list of changes you have made of which some or a combination

of some may be what helped you. I don't want to tell you what you already know,

but I think getting an infected tooth out is important. If you go to a holistic

dentist they can be sure to remove every bit of the ligament that connects the

tooth to the jaw. He needs to thorougly scrape out the cavity/bone. Sometimes

they spray in ozone gas to kill bacteria in the pocket. If the infection is

left in there it can cause further problems. There isn't a lot of blood

circulating in certain areas and so it is difficult to get rid of infections in

those areas through systemic ways (blood). Cavitations are pockets of infection

where this infected ligament remains ( which also is suspected to be a possible

cause of MS. Sometimes people have surgery to clean out infections caused by

cavitations. My sister in law felt that her health problems completely turned

around after having cavitation surgery. The Weston-Price Foundation and the

cookbook Nourishing Traditions talks about the importance of dental health from

this viewpoint. However even if you don't go to a holistic dentist, if you have

a good oral surgeon he will definitely want to thoroughly scrape out the hole,

and you can ask in advance for them to remove every bit of the periodontal

ligament.

Thank you Carol. I went to see a group of surgeons that specialize in wisdom

tooth extraction and that's all they do. They are not listed as holistic, but

they are wisdom tooth experts.

Their recommendation was as follows;

Since there is no cavity and it is not causing full-time pain, I may want to

leave it. However, he warned me that the older I get, the more serious the

procedure becomes and recommended I get it removed.

Considering the progres I am making with my PPMS, I remain on the fence.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled when I was a kid because of overcrowding and the

rest of them later because I had cavities under my fillings and I wanted to get

the mercury out. The teeth weren't worth being saved. I would have preferred to

keep them. There are many reasons that you might have an infection that could be

treated succesfully. Pull it as a last resort. It might be a permament solution

to a temporary problem.
