Guest guest
Hello all, I e-mailed this morning because she asked how Miles was doing. She kind of hinted to me that the group also needs to know good things as well as problems. I kind of feel guilty talking about Miles doing well when so many of you are having so many problems, but maybe she's right and everyone needs to hear there are people doing well too. Miles went to the nsg toward the end of January with sever neck muscle pain, sleepless nights, mood swings, dizziness and nausea. He did another MRI of the brain and said Miles looked good. The brain was inside the cranium (yea) and there looked to be lots of room for the CSF to flow. Praise the Lord! He gave Miles flexeril and a TENS unit for muscle pain and instructed us to see an ENT for his sinus problems at the time. Miles used the TENS unit for a couple of weeks, took two rounds of antibiotics since then, began to sleep at night (who knows why?) and stopped using the Flexeril about three nights ago. He has still had an occasional migrain, but seems to be doing great at the present time. Again, I don't want to sound anything but positive to others who are thinking about going through decompression surgery and hear nothing but troubles, and we all know we have many troubles due to ACM/SM, I just want you guys to know that there is hope for a better future. Oh, Miles has been making straight A's this year, (go figure, I know it's not because I've been paying him $10 for every A, HA!) but anyway, he is now planning on going into medicine and actually is thinking about nsg. God works in mysterious ways! Blessings, Debbie Miles' Mom " My special child of 16 " ACM/SM surgery 6-00 doing well
