Guest guest Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 AIIMS take steps to check crank calls to women AIDS counsellors New Delhi, Feb 20 : Women counsellors at the AIDS helpline of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences are up against crank callers who ask obscene questions in the name of sex counselling and AIIMS is taking steps to check them, Parliament was informed today. Minister of State for Health Panabaka Lakshmi admitted in a written reply that male crank callers tend to ask ''irrelevant and objectionable questions.'' The AIDS Education and Training Cell of AIIMS, which runs the helpline, has warned the crank callers that police action be taken against them. It has also installed caller ID phone so that their phone numbers could be noted, she informed.
