IV immunoglobulin - it's a blood product that is pooled from many donors.

Essentially it neutralizes the antibodies that are causing the flare-up or

attack. Not necessarily isolated to MS, but also useful in other autoimmune

conditions where the immune system has gone haywire and is wreaking havoc in the

body.

FYI in my case, IVIG was no help to me whatsoever. But I tried it and would not

want to discourage others from trying. Be optimistic but keep expectations

real. Even though I have heard success stories, IVIG does not always help

everybody that tries it.
