Guest guest
Dear Friends, The Youth Parliament (YP) Foundation and the Centre for Human Progress (CHP) are organising Project 19 - A Festival on Understanding Rights, Sexuality, Health and HIV, at the India Habitat Center, New Delhi on 15 and 16 February, 2009. This is being organised with support from NACO, UN partners and other stakeholders in the HIV response. The festival brings together nearly 600 young people from across the country including sexual minorities, IDU, positive networks, truck drivers, migrant groups, and youth groups. It will be a platform to talk about their issues, find linkages and to find innovative solutions. Detailed programme and other details about organisers can be had from the URL: http://www.theyouthparliament.blogspot.com/ The festival aims to facilitate interaction between young people and at-risk communities around issues of sexuality, health, HIV and human rights. By using forms of expression, including theatre, music, art, photography and film, the festival creates a space to promote empowerment, generate dialogue, and build sustainable networking opportunities for young people and at-risk communities. It is a powerful platform for national level networking between youth groups and also a unique opportunity for mainstreaming. I request you to make this event a huge success and make use of the opportunity. Thanks and regards, Dr. Nalin Mehta, Communications Advisor, UNAIDS, A2/35 Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi, India-110029.
