Guest guest
--- Hi ! I too found out that our son would be born with clubfeet when I was 21 weeks pregnant. He has been treated by a local ORTHO. (not trained in Poinseti) since birth. We have not been pleased with the Hello! I also found out that my son would be born with clubfeet during my 21st week of pregnancy. He has been treated by a local Ortho. (not trained in Poinseti) To say the least, I have not been pleased with the results (or lack of) Our son's feet are not even that bad....... Anyway, we live in South Carolina and there is one Dr. here and another in NC trained in Poinseti. We have appt. with NC Dr. on the 23rd. However, I have not ruled out the possibility of going directly to Dr. Ponseti in Iowa. I'm sure you feel as I do - whatever it takes! My question to you is: Won't you have to travel back and forth to Iowa almost on a weekly basis for a while? Or, are you planning to just stay? (it would be difficult for me to stay. I have a 2 year old daughter too) There is a Dr. in land and a couple in NY trained in Poinseti. I'm curious as to why you chose to just go ahead and go to Iowa and not give one of the DR's closer locally a chance? As you can probably tell, I'm still " on the fence " about this. I can't decide if I should just go on to Iowa or give the local Dr.'s a chance. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this Thanks so much!
