Guest guest
I take Baclofen for the same reasons. I titrate my dose during the day depending on how bad my symptoms are. I found an MS spasticity cream on ebay that helps called Tranquility. It has a blend of herbs that helps calm the pain. I rub it on several times a day & especially at night Kate
Guest guest
I didn't get that reaction but Baclofen was what put me in a wheelchair.Janet To: mscured From: mike19749@... Have only been taking this drug (10 mg) for a week but am disappointed. Will it get better ? Has anyone else suffered a reaction like this ? Regards. Guest guest
Talk to your doctor. That may not be so much a side effect as possibly the dose is too low. Also, it will take a couple of weeks for your body to get used to the med. Don't stop Baclofen abruptly though. > ** > > > I know this sounds stupid but my right knee is now more stiff than it was > before I started to take Baclofen! Guest guest
My neuro said that was what Baclofen was designed to do! I questioned, what put me in a wheelchair? He said it was supposed to make my legs like that and that with PPMS a wheelchair was only a matter of time. I lost what little faith I had in neuros at that appointment. CCSVI GONE (immediate) ALL pain, fatigue, frequency and urgency, constipation, insomnia, eye problems (blurred vision, lazy eye, intolerance of bright lights), shallow breathing, swallowing difficulties, pins and needles, heavy legs, heat intolerance, bear hug, brain fog, fear, depression, anxiety, tinnitus, neuralgia, poor coordination, no upper body strength, no upper body balance, dull senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, sound), dull colour vision, slow speech, slow thoughts, illegible writing, dizziness, shakes in hands, inability to do up bra or buttons, inability to get into car unaided. GONE (by 18 months later) Cold hands, incontinence, spasms, shakes in legs, no sensation in many parts of body, no movement of right foot or leg. Plus all previous changes are still there. I can now do some more floor exercises that were not possible at first. UNCHANGED Total body balance, inability to walk unaided, spasticity, cold feet.Janet CC: mscured To: mscured From: guccigucci@... Thank you! Glad you are better than before and lets hope research brings you back to mobile. ;)Just raised $1,000 for the LA ms walk, April 15th. > > I was given it to reduce spasticity. My legs became like jelly even if I lowered the dose. I couldn't even do exercises lying on the floor as my legs could not raise even an inch. I weaned myself off them, never took another MS drug. I found MSM helped them work a little again but I never walked again.Janet (PPMS 17 years, CCSVI treatment 18 months ago - all symptoms gone except for balance and therefore walking not possible) > > . Guest guest
How much does CCSVI cost? Sounds like my wife, she is on the Baclofen interthecreal pump thing. I wish it was never put in her after her first mishap; the first pumps attachment shredded. The problems u mentioned that cleared up would most likely get my wife Emma out of her bed/ wheelchair w/ tons of PT via Me. > > > > > > > > I was given it to reduce spasticity. Guest guest
CCSVI treatment costs vary by location. You are probably US-based where there are many clinics offering it. Ask around or look at various sites on FacebookIVCC/CCSVI - Post-Liberation Updates, ms-ccsvi-uk,CCSVI in Multiple Sclerosis, The Ccsvi Foundation, Buffalo CCSVI Study, Ccsvi Coalition, CCSVI Registry, CCSVI PHYSICAL THERAPY PROGRAM, Liberation Treatment CCSVI, CCSVI Liberation, ccsvi-online, CCSVI, NCS ~ The National C.C.S.V.I. Society,Hubbard Foundation, the ccsvi treatment forum, C.C.S.V.I. - I.V.C.C. Each person experiences different results. The majority get something. It depends where your particular restriction is in the jugular or azygous. To me it was worth a gamble, that has paid off. People without MS see me and think well you are still in a wheelchair so that was a waste of money. Far from it, OK I can't walk but that is a small price to pay to have my brain back, and you never know with the amount of exercise I do, something might trigger walking again.Good luck to your wife.Janet To: mscured From: rusbus00@...
