Guest guest
KC you are right in that noone should ever have to go through what we went through. Dr.'s make mistakes and patients suffer for that. My husband has Diabetes and we beleive that uncontrolled diabetes (he was stubborn) along with alot of stress is what brough this on. He has had a couple of Abscesses that have had to be drained (that actually got the diabetes diagnosis) so it has been a roller coaster. The hospital actually tested him for every possible bacterial, microbial and any other type of causes that 3 different labs could come up with. One of the test was for lime disease. These test were done by 2 different hospitals and sent to three labs (including Hopkins). He has a delaminiating disorder (aka MS). There was only one other possibility and that would have been cancer so under those circumstances I'll take MS. Our Neurologist that we go to (both of us have neuroligical issues) is 2 states away. We travel 9 hours one way to see him as we are not comfortable with the level of medical care here where we are. He was very carefull to not jump up and scream MS. He actually thought it could have been lime disease as well but after looking at all the test results he has come back with MS that is exaserbated by his diabetes (that is our conclution that it's exaserbated). We have been monitoring his symptoms and when his glucose is elevated or drops he has more symptoms. It's all frustrating and confusing at times. Oh and one of the reasons I trust this dr is because when others wanted to lable me with MS he did all the tests to rule out everything else. I have servere migrains And I have one sclerosis on my brain. Hugs Donna in VA
