Guest guest
Thank you Yvette for your kind post. I was only sharing what Dr Zagon has said who is the scientist that is leading the way with LDN. To find out LDN can be just as effective taken in the morning as it is at night is fantastic news and one I thought would be welcomed as so many people have sleep issues. I was hoping by posting that and mentioning Dr Zagon's name this would encourage those who cannot tolerate night time dosing to try day time dosing rather than give up on this medication that has helped so many of us. I would also like to share with those that are interested that it is not essential to get up to the 4.5mg dose of LDN for it to work. It is now believed that 3mg (max) is best for those with MS and if any of you have used LDN at 4.5mg for a few years and feel it is no longer working for you, please consider lowering the dose and perhaps try every other day dosing. Please see below an email I received from Dr Zagon:- I want you to know that I am getting more and more letters from folks who say that LDN is terrific, but it is not effective anymore after 1-5 years. I have told them to take the LDN every 2 days - and some every 3 days. They write back that it is a miracle - LDN is back on track. The reason is that the pharmacokinetics of LDN in the body changes, and the metabolism slows down. We have a paper in press showing that LDN once or three times a week is wonderful!! This is why one needs information. Clinical and science. However, if you are still taking 4.5mg and doing just fine on it, don't change - you obviously have an extremely healthy liver that metabolizes LDN extremely well. I hope the above is of help to some people and remember, there's always new findings coming up which is quite exciting! Thanks! Jane --Please don't leave the group. You are one of the best sources of current LDN info we have on this list. You have played a huge part in the advancement of LDN in your part of the world. Mscured needs more people like you, not fewer. I for one, am thrilled you are on this list, and would miss your presence if you left.
