Guest guest
Once a person has had Lyme Disease (borreliosis) for a long time, the spirochetes hide inside of our cells. If a patient has been sick for a long time, taken steroids (presnisone) and or drugs to throttle back the immune system like Rebif, the patient may be called a steroid disaster. The sicker the patient is, the less reliable the tests are. I was sick for eight years until I started oral abx. My gut is so badly effected, the oral abx were not working. Took oral abx for two years. Just felt like a bug on a widshield. In July 2011, started Intramuscular antibiotic Claforan. The stuff is showing some benefit. Will likely start IV abx, The abx are caustic enough, they will attack the smaller veins in our arms. Will likely have to have a PICC line installed to run a tube down towards my heart where the larger veins are. To see the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) Toronto meeting going on Sunday 10/29/11 http://whatislyme.com/ilads-conference-toronto-live-stream/
