Guest guest
Group, Joy Inspired wrote me an email and asked that I forward it to the group, as she is on vacation. Here it is: Hi Alan, Just got back from the short trip. I was able to stay active until maybe 8 pm. In the evening my body was so fatigued from all the activity. We walked miles on the beach and under the redwoods. My husband spent a couple of days hunting agates at the beach. I had to run in and out of the waves to try to see the stones. I normally can't run, but I do now !!! I can still skip. I ran up and down a slight slope today in the redwoods this morning several times. My movements aren't quite normal yet, but there is improvement. I ran more than I had in years over the last several days. My days were spent bending over squatting picking up rocks and running out of the waves, walking, lots of movement. Normally I sit in the recliner most of the day other than walks and a dvd. Its a rather large rapid dose of activity. Day 2 we walked the most and I was the most fatigued in the evening. I did need assist walking because we didn't leave the beach until dark had fallen. My leg was dragging by then. (however I haven't ever moved as much as I have in the last several days so that shouldn't be a shock.) We were bad at meal planning and got so busy site seeing that we never stopped to eat lunch. After eating dinner my symptoms decreased. I think I needed to eat more often. I have added in cheese to the diet to increase the saturated fat. The pharmacist said I would get worse unless I add the saturated fat in. I also ate whole boiled eggs. I am a vegetarian so I can't stand eating meat. The pharmacist said that should be enough saturated fats. He said I should call Elaine when I got back to get her feedback on modifying a diet for me. The next morning after being on the beach until dark and walking in the redwoods all day, I was rather slow at moving in the morning. I still felt like I had over done things. Its all my fault. However it didn't last more than a couple of hours until I was walking and running like normal. We went out to the beach and met a guy who suggested another rock hunting spot. He had a golden retreiver in his truck which I went over to see. The dog he said acted like a doctor to him. So I turned my back to him and leaned on the truck. At that time my speech was still slurred due to overdoing it the day before and my walking wasn't as good. The dog sniffed my neck where the lesions are and started licking like he was massaging and moving the lymph fluids. I normally dont like to be licked by dogs or even have much to do with dogs. The dog and I hit it off. He did not give the other side of the neck much attention. Then he nibbled on my ear with his teeth. It felt like there was extra pressure from going up and down the mountains. He scratched my sweater so I removed it. Then he stuck his head down my shirt and started working another area where a lesion is. When he was done he went to the back of my skull where the neck joins the base of the head on the left. Another lesion area. He gently bit my head massaging that area trying to work it. I felt better when he was done with his weird treatment and spent the rest of the day running in and out of waves. My speech improved after the dose of dog slobber ????? I think at that time the prokarin hit my system again. However I think the dog knew something was wrong with me. I never had anything like that happen. The prokarin is still working. Being so active on the trip when my body isn't used to so much activity was fatiguing. By the end of the day the symptoms were back to where I needed some help and my speech slurred. Rest cleared it up. I think my body still needs time to adjust and improve the strength and endurance. Normally people work up to what I did rather than to going on of all of a sudden trip after being almost chair bound. The build up there strength gradually. What we did was rather impulsive. However we were aware of the possiblity of the symptoms reappearing when I over did things. We just spent the time enjoying ourselves. I didn't have to rest for a week after overdoing myself like I used to. There are major improvements. Can you forward this to the group so they know how I am doing? Guest guest
This is starting to sound very strange to me. Where are all the people Prokarin has (supposedly) helped over the years?Janet To: mscured From: alansamston@... Guest guest
Good question.
