into the right clinic for YOU.:) *also, please remember that we all must erase

Wow - I just got a script from my Doc to have the CCSVI procedure done.

I live in North Central Florida. Does anyone know of a center where this

procedure is being done that is reliable & clean? Sounds like I better

move on this quickly before it is outlawed!

I was treated for CCSVI last November in Gainsville Florida. U of Florida. Dr

Vogel. It did not help with walking but the headaches were gone immediately. I

am looking to have it done again locally if not I will go back to Florida. I

live in Colorado. My veins look good on an mrv. They looked at the blood

flow to be able to justify billing medicare. Phoenix won't do it if the mrv is

clear.

Thank you so much for all your responses (and future ones, as I'm guessing

others will chime in over time). I appreciate the advice to not jump into

any treatments, and realize it probably won't be made illegal anytime soon,

if at all. But, with most neurologists rather opposed to the procedure, the

FDA stance does not help matters for us that are seeking to have it done.

I am grateful that my neurologist was willing to write me the script as

when I originally asked him 2 years ago, he did not want me to have it done,

and he is still reluctant, but I insisted.

I was planning on finding a place to have it done this summer. I've done a

fair amount of following of others that had it done all over the world, and

while I realize it is not 100%, I do feel it might help me and is worth it

for me to give it a try. It does seem the #1 improvement is on the

headaches, and that is an area that has been steadily getting worst, even if I

stick to a 100% Organic diet (so hard to do in my area) and stay away from the

various 'bad' food choices.

And, as some have said, yes, they have to have the procedure done a 2nd, or

even a 3rd time, those people generally don't hesitate having it redone -

a good sign that it was worth it to them, even if it is needed multiple

times. I realize there is increased risk with each procedure - I will evaluate

that risk at that time if/when I find myself feeling like I need the

procedure done a 2nd or 3rd time.

I do trust Shands, probably more than a lot of other sites, and it is so

close to me (about a 1 hour drive), so I think that is a viable option for me

to look into.

So, I want to thank you Theresa for the info you provided, and I hope that

your treatment(s) provide you with lasting relief and healing.

Jim
