Guest guest Posted September 10, 2008 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 Population Foundation of India (PFI) Location: New Delhi, Last Date: 22nd September, 2008 Population Foundation of India is a non-governmental funding and promoting organization for developing as well as implementing gender sensitive population and development policies, plans and programs. Population Foundation of India is one of the Principal Recipients for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Round 4 & 6 Program. The Program is aimed to provide care, support and treatment services to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHAs) in 14 states of India. PFI is interested in recruiting a Documentation Associate, who shall be based in Delhi and support Program Management Unit for overall documentation requirements. Post Graduate Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with 3 to 5 years of experience in the Social Sector will be preferred. Previous experience of working in social sector is desirable. Knowledge of computers is a MUST. Strong written/oral communication skills in English and Hindi are required. In addition to the above, the following traits and qualities would be expected from the selected candidate: 1. To support Project Director and the team at Program Management Unit for overall documentation requirements. 2. Possesses the following CRITICAL ATTRIBUTES: • Specialized skills on writing and documentation • Skills on understanding concept, preparation of plan, coordination and reporting • Understanding of team behavior and work with a team • Interpersonal & Communication Skills • Good coordination skills 3. Reports functionally & administratively to the Project Director. 4. Job Responsibilities would include: Under the guidance of the Project Director, the Documentation Officer shall: • Prepare plans for the documentation and related work • Prepare newsletters, annual reports, newspaper releases and such publications as may be required for the project. • Document the process and output of the project at the national, regional and state levels through multiple media. • Design and develop appropriate IEC/BCC materials for use at PFI and its sub-recipients and other health development agencies. • Function as a team member at PMU and work closely with Program team, M & E team and Finance team • Collect, collate and prepare reports in coordination with the state and regional offices of PFI and sub-recipients. • Consolidate reports received from the state coordination units. • Support the team at PMU, regional and state levels and at the service delivery points in building their capacity for effective communication skills and documentation. • Prepare framework for project proposals. • Ensure all reports/records are properly maintained. • Edit and prepare presentations and write-ups as and when required. • Any other tasks assigned by the Project Director / Senior Managers from time to time. The short listed candidate will be called for an interview at PFI, New Delhi. The person selected may have to join immediately and take over from day-1.
