Guest guest
CCSVI treatment helped a lot but did not stop the problem entirely. Marijuana dries everything up all the while it is in your system. When I've had a bad spell of leakage D-Mannose has helped settle it. Wearing the thin pads helps certainly confidence. Staying off diuretic foods is another way of managing. Wish I could share more. Date: Fri, 4 May 2012 14:38:09 +0000 Subject: Urinary Incontinence I have searched through old posts, but am seeing to have trouble finding what people do or take for urinary incontinence. I saw Corn Silk, Cranberry, and D-Mannose? I've been noticing every time I go to the bathroom, I seem to have a few drops of urine in my underwear, that I didn't even realize had come out. Right now it is only a few drops or so at a time, but I am worried about it getting worse. What has anyone taken that has worked really well for this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Guest guest
This is a major problem for me and I have no real solution. I've taken d-mannose and cranberry extract but only to help stop urinary tract infections. I've never noticed it helping with incontinence. I do try to empty my bladder as fully as possible. It can help to sit for a bit, then try to squeeze more out. Since you're only beginning to have problems, I would definitely recommend trying kegel exercises. You don't sound like you need them yet, but I can also recommend cloth underpants with a heavy cloth pad in the crotch area to contain small amounts of leakage. The brand I buy is Reassure and I purchase them through the mail from HDIS. I hate using disposable diaper pads for environmental reasons, though I do when I know a toilet isn't going to be readily available. I didn't use cloth diapers on my son only to have to use them for probably decades myself! Grrr. Good luck with this problem. I hope you manage to stem it now. Post any solutions that work for you. Guest guest
Is there anyone in this group who has had this problem and had it stop on its own or did something that helped it stop? I'm only 32 and feel that if I'm starting to have this problem now, I could be in real trouble later on down the road. ( I have relapse/remitting MS, so just curious if this could be part of a relapse that may go away? Guest guest
For me it was addressing the constipation that I've had for years. I've taken several products but they contained ingredients that were not good for me. I think my bladder was being pressed by what was in my colon. My doctor recommended cascara segrada and I take one with breakfast everyday. I still get incontinent at night so I wear Depends. I have urgency more than incontinence. I no longer have constipation! > > I have searched through old posts, but am seeing to have trouble finding what people do or take for urinary incontinence. I saw Corn Silk, Cranberry, and D-Mannose? Guest guest
I have a spastic bladder with which urine comes out in increments, so I just have to sit and consciously relax. And when I feel the urge to urinate, it's hie thee to a toilet NOW because I can't stop it once it starts. Of course this is because of nerve damage affecting those muscles. I use washable organic cotton menstrual pads because I had them, but there are organic cotton (larger) pads available on the Internet. But there have been times when I still ended up with wet pants. I'm on a scooter so it doesn't show, but I still refuse to be embarrassed because I can't do anything about it. ... Yet another of those " Suck it up and deal with it " MS issues. Guest guest
> Feel that my Diet Pepsi contributes to me needing to frequently urinate.> Anything with caffeine in it is a diuretic. Soda should've been the first thing to go with diet revision. Diet Pepsi has aspartame in it: do your research. Martha
Guest guest
Could it be that your body is trying to rid itself of the " poisons " in the Diet Pepsi? I've been reading a lot about food sensitivities, and paleo/ primal diets, and I think that might be the case. I find that wheat and other things seem to set off frequent urination and incontinence. An excellent book is " Primal body, Primal Mind, " by Nora Gedgaudas. > > Feel that my Diet Pepsi contributes to me needing to frequently urinate > > - > > >
Guest guest
Please don't drink diet anything -- ESPECIALLY if you have ms. It takes a long time to adjust, but plain filtered water is a really nice drink. It's not sweet, but nobody should have as much sweet as americans do these days. Guest guest
For Me, the diet Pepsi causes urination MUCH more than just the caffeine diuretic effect ! I can drink coffee and tea, no problems. With the addictive diet pops, the urine will just suddenly start freely flowing :-( The corner CVS drug store is now selling slightly flavored soda water :-) NO sweeteners. It is $1.00 per bottle vs the $1.50 for the diet pop. > > > > > >Feel that my Diet Pepsi contributes to me needing to frequently urinate > > > >- > > > > > > > > > > >
