Guest guest
Vange, does not appear upset when overstimulated. He gets 'too happy' and starts stim behaviours or he just ignores all around him and just goes on with his own business. He can control himself if I keep reminding him. Prompts like 'hands quiet' 'sit still' etc. work better than no's and don't do that's. Giving directions on What To Do, instead of what not to do. cara timing of biopsy Hi. I realize that bloodwork needs to be done at a time when the child is having more problems than in a rather stable time, but what about the muscle biopsy? should we wait until another 'down' time or will results always be the same? thanks so much, cara p.s. also, do any of your children have times with giddiness, laughter for no reason? we are trying to decide if this is seizures or what. sometimes I think it has something to do with blood sugar and that whole cycle (which is very difficult for me to understand), even though his level tests fine. some autistic children have the giddiness from eating milk and wheat. we have been milk and wheat free, as well as no dyes, colors, preservatives, etc. for 2.5 yrs. and my little guy still has these silly periods. wondering if this is a mito thing, as the more posts I read, the more I see my child here. many autistic treatments have done nothing for us.
