Guest guest
It is the evening of my second day on the Prokarin. I can't say anything definitive one way or another yet. I did not get any of those red flushing marks today that I had on Day 1. However on both Days 1 and 2 I have had occasional queasy (spelling?)feeling -- like an upset stomach feeling--in the stomach that would just last a minute or less. This upset-stomach feelign could possibly be due to the Cal/Mag supplement that was sent to be used along with the Prokarin as apparently they (Elaine Delack and the pharmacy) feel that taking this cal/mag is mandatory because they say the Prokarin will rob you of calcium or something to that effect. As to my MS symptoms, I am not sure I feel any difference. It is very hard to tell because my symptoms tend to vary at any given time anyway. I thought tonight it did seem like my cog fog was a bit worse--where I was out with my spouse and I used the wrong words a few time and couldn't think of words a couple times and almost felt like I forgot how to talk. This cog fog is symptom I have most of the time anyway but it doesn't usually interfere with my use of words the way it did tonight--so I am not sure if that has anything to do with the Prokarin or not. At this point my goal is to stay on the Prokarin at least 2-3 weeks if there is no adverse effect to see if it helps or not. I won't re-order another month unless I see some benefit in the first month's supply. As for the CCSVI, I am still on the fence. I know many people have gone into CCSVI with a very positive, enthusiastic attitude and it is best to go in that way. Perhaps because I have so many fears/concerns about it, and I don't have that positive/enthusiastic feeling then that means it is not for me. As mentioned previously I am scheduled for May for a block of testing followed the next day by treatment if indicated, so I want to give the doc at least 1-2 weeks notice if I cancel. I know they have a waiting list and someone else will be thrilled to be bumped up the list, but I don't want to cancel the day before.
