Dear Moderator,

I'm regular member of AIDS India. I'm working with Breakthrough, an NGO as

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.

Breakthrough is an innovative, high impact international human rights

organization using the power of popular culture, media and education to

transform public attitudes and advance equality, justice and dignity.

We currently work in India and the United States, the world's two largest

democracies, on several issues including violence against women, sexuality and

HIV/AIDS, and, racial justice and immigrant rights.

This time, Breakthrough focus is on Domestic Violence.

Breakthrough invites you to join our multi-media campaign Bell Bajao (Ring the

Bell) to call for an end to domestic violence. We especially urge men to join

the campaign and take a stand to create safer homes for families.

We are very pleased that the Indian Ministry of Women and Child Development is

a Bell Bajao campaign partner. This will enable us to more effectively spread

the message that even simple acts like ringing a door bell can save a woman from

harm.

Created pro bono by Ogilvy and Mather, the campaign will be distributed across

TV channels including STAR, Zee, SONY and Doordarshan; Radio channels including

Radio City; and through exciting collaborations with media partners like The

Viewspaper and Zapak.

Please watch the videos, contribute to our interactive website, and share what

you've learned. Let's bring domestic violence to a halt and promote women's

human rights!
