Hmmm...I had a lot of sugar metabolism problems as well a year ago. my live

blood analysis showed a lot of candida. It has cleared up and no more frequent

urination. I don't really know why. The main staples I have incorporated into my

daily routine are lemons, coconut meat-oil-milk-water, and aloe vera and stevia.

I suspect the fresh aloe has had the biggest impact on me, especially in terms

of sugar metabolism. Maybe it's the muccopolysaccarides. I have not specifically

studied the saccoralytic(sp?) enzymes in fresh aloe. (enzymes for metabolism of

different forms of sugars). But I am now able to eat a lot of fruit with no

difficulties. I also take a couple drops of lugols in apple cider vinegar and a

tyrosine capsule 3-4 X per week to help keep my energy up. (one atom of iodine

plus one molecule of tyrosine=thyroxin). Could this thyriod assistance be

helping my sugar problem??? We are all individuals, Some days I really wish God

had supplied me with

a full tech manual! :) ph

Thanks Alison. This is the first that I heard about fructose intolerance. I

have more questions than thoughts, but I would love to learn more. Can you

post your fructose/glucose article again? Also, did your fructose go UP

when you went on the Wahls diet? What foods were you eating (or not

eating)? Finally, is there a blood test that can check for fructose

intolerance/sensativity?

I often times have to urinate frequently, but I have always assumed it was

related to my stress. Maybe not...

Thanks!

Larry

Yes, it went up. Even though I ate low glycemic fruits they were too high in

fructose. I need to eat fewer of them in better food combinations.

I was told to eliminate honey and agave nectar. I thought they were OK because

they were low glycemic but they are high in fructose much like HFCS. I was

eating a bunch of sweet potatoes and onions both of which have more fructose

than glucose and we need an equal ratio. I was trying to go for color and

sulphur (per Terry Wahls' recommendation).

I read where 30% of people have hereditary fructose intolerance and I'm going to

see if I'm one of those people. I don't know how it is tested.

I've been eating greens, fermented food and meat (or bone broth) this week

without as much fructose. Fructose is in vegetables as well as in fruits, some

better tan others. I'm questioning the benefits of feeding your mitochondria

when fructose also feeds yeast.

I couldn't find the article I posted (a long time ago) but here is a good one

Incidentally, nightshades have a dangerous fructose/glucose ratio. TW says not

to eat potatoes and the BBD warns not to eat tomatoes. My doctor said no to all

nightshades(tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant and pepppers).

Nightshades. Yes it is very important to eliminate nightshades, they are a group

of inflammatory foods. tomatoes potatoes, eggplant, etc. I did not know they had

a fructose/glucose imbalance. HFCS(high fructose corn syrup) is poison, as is

beet sugar. They are both made from GMO strains. Maybe this is why the fresh

live aloe helps me so much, it has all the sugar enzymes. As an aside no aloe

product has ever helped me other than the living plant. ph
