Guest guest
Dear All, I would like you all to silently answer the query posed below. I would highly appreciate if the query/answer does not generate a discussion but just an intra-personal communication. Do I need to have a low self esteem and be a victim of self stigma just because I am a woman(or a man for that matter)depending on a commercial work for earning my livelihood and supporting other members of my family from the monetary gains of my activities. My professional work necessitates use of a latex barrier (which I use with religious sincerity) to protect myself and my multiple clients from infections. The nature of my work involves the private parts of the bodies of my clients(many of them just strangers) which are entered by latex covered parts of my body. I am surprised that people are not judgemental and moralistic about my work and call me a very successful obstetrician. Why are we so judgemental about commercial sex work then ? Best wishes, Dr.Rajesh Gopal. e-mail: <dr_rajeshg@...>
