Delhi: Disfunctional Condom Vending Machines and access to Condoms

Dear Forum,

In my feild work I face some problems with access to Condoms.

Most Condom Vending boxes/Machines are not functioning or not available at

places where high risk behaviour is practiced. I checked myself properly these

Important High Risk areas-Transport Centers,Highways Petrol Pump,Bus

Terminals,Red Light Area,Sulabh Sochalyas(slums)etc.

Also, condom vending machines facility is also not free for all. One packet

Condom(Only 2 condom)price is Rs.5(use coin only). These charges are really

unfair(pl.remove it)

Another difficulty is most Condom Vending Machines are stolen by Kabadi's,

thieves, beggers etc.

There is NO security of these machines. Mostly all ICTC & PPTCT center's condom

boxes are not available or empty all times.

Female Condoms are also not available in the PPTCT/ICTC for distribution or

training of demonstration use.

In the all ICTC/PPTCT center Condom distribution registers are not maintain

properly.Fact is Counsellors are not Condom distribute to the every HIV testing

people.Condom quality is also not good.

Authorities may please look into this matter urgently
