Hanan,

my responses are exactly like Tara's---- my dr did not restrict

sexual activity at all----I was on exercise restriction at 14 weeks---

but nothing in the first trimester---- I had a self imposed sexual

activity restriction after about 20 weeks (poor dh) I felt I did not

want to " rock the boat "

the dr was able to see the point of implantation by an ultrasound- at

6weeks, and 8weeeks--can't remember which they saw the implant site-

the perinatologist was my hero thru this prg---I saw him monthly, got

to see the baby on ultrasound, and he checked my cervix for potential

incompetent cervix, both vaginal ultrasound, and regular u/s---I felt

so good after my appts with him, reassured everything would be fine!

good luck with all your diagnostic stuff---you will be relieved to

find out exactly what you have---

do not blame yourself for the loss----I am sure the sex did not

affect your prg that early on........give yourself a break- I am sure

its hard enough!

best wishes,

J/ bu

Hanan,

There is a lot of discussion of the difference between SU and BU in

the archives, so I hope it will be of some use to you.

In a nutshell: BU also has the central dvision visible from the

outside of the uterus, with two separate halves of uterus. SU looks

normal and united on the outside but divided on the inside. The

divider/septum in SU is made mostly of fibrous tissue rather than

healthy endometrium, hence the greater chance of miscarriage.

The HSC description makes no mention of the appearance of the tissue

comrpising the central septum, and therefor is not informative. It

does sound as though your uterus is only partially bicornuate or

septate, though.
