Does anyone know if Prokarin and CCSVI are contraindicated, or can they be used

in conjunction?

Wow I think Joy's amazing turnaround in 4 days on Prokarin is causing quite a

stir. Here and there I have read such stories of QUICK turnaround whether it be

with Prokarin, Calcium EAP intravenous injections, Klenner, or CCSVI. But of

course often within each of these modalities, there are others who have

moderate, minimal or no improvements.

I am interested in trying to Prokarin based on Joy's experience and like others

trying to find out where to get it, how to use it, and a doctor who will write

the script here in the U.S.A.

Another thing I think we need to find out is whether there is any

contraindication between CCSVI and Prokarin, for those of us who want to do

both.

Also I read that Prokarin used to be in a patch but not is a a disc, but some

people are reporting that the previous patch worked better than the disc. So

that is another question.

I am also trying to find out dosages. If we can find a doctor to write the

script, exactly what does the doctor need to write on the script?

If anyone can answer or give opinions on any of these questions, please let us

know.

Also of course it would be interesting to know if anyone else here has tried the

Prokarin the past?

Alan.

P.S. I am overweight also even with BBD but I think it is because of lack of

exercise due to the fatigue.

Reading more about Prokarin. There are things we need to know if going on--like

they say to take a certain amount of Calcium supplementation, and not too much

EFA, and that some people may want it with or without the caffeine (I think

caffeine is not BBD-compliant). And also this issue of whether the original

patch or the disc was better. And apparently there are dietary issues too. I

think we have a lot to learn here. This has been around a long time and I wonder

why it hasn't gotten more attention.

My hat goes off to those who went the extra mile to find a doc to prescribe

Prokarin, EAP intravenous injections, and Klenner, then get these scripts and

figure out how to use them. It is not easy. In some ways CCSVI seems easier. And

stem cell therapy too--these are usually one time treatments where the doc does

everything but to do something like Prokarin is a different entity.

Joy's turnaround is so amazing it is hard to overlook. I have been reading

testimonials on Prokarin and I see a range of results, mostly positive, but I

also think people with positive results are those most likely to post their

results.

Prokarin has been around since the late 80s--just wonder why more haven't tried

it. Is it the cost (around $250 per month). At least compared to the intravenous

cal eap injections or the Klenner, it does not involve needles.

Looking forward to learning more about this.

When you order the prokarin it comes with the special calcium magnesium blend

that she wants you to take.  She addresses diet in her brocure that comes with

the med.  I have not had any issues with drinking coffee or a soda with it.  I

am a vegetarian and will continue to be.  She says its ok to eat meat.  I

don't

like meat, but that is my personal choice.  I will continue on the naughty

borage oil, eveining primorse which she does not like.

I think the reason its not used more is because docs can be held liable for a

medication that is not fda approved.  They can be sued by the patient, so they

are taking a risk.  That is what one doc said.  She does not I believe have

the

funding to get it through the fda clearance.  Its very expensive to do that.

Most docs believe it does not work.

Her success rate when I phoned her was about 65%.  She said it is more

effective

on people who are heat sensitive.  She said she has no symptoms since using it

and has had no progression of her disease.  The nurse that created it.  She

will

call or email you if you contact her.  She is great to talk to.

I believe coapxone has about a 30% rate of slowing down the disease.  It did

nothing for me.  I got worse.

Prokarin is supposed to help remyelinate.  Which meds do not say they can do.

The pharmacy says the patch is better. They say it is easier to use.  They say

only a couple of patients use the cream.

I do not know if its ok with LDN.  It is something to research.  It is a amino

acid  so I don't see why it wouldn't work with it.

I am also overweight, but the dose is the same for everyone.  I emailed it to

you. 1.65 mg. of prokarin.  1 disk a day to be taken off at night so the body

can reset.  Elaine the Rn who created it eventually went up to two patches a

day.

I exercise and am loosing weight slowly.  That is why I use sparkpeople to

track

my progress, nutritional intake, journal my symptoms and exercise I do.  They

have several ms teams for support of over 800? people or so.  It has been

helpful.  I didn't realize I wasn't getting enough protein.  Now my diet is

more

balanced.  When my protein intake went up my hair stopped falling out.  Now it

is correct in the bloodwork also.

The prokarin does help with the fatigue.  When I started exercising I did it

slowly.  1000 steps per hour off and on during the day to build strength and

endurance.  Increasing as I was able to.  Then I added in other workouts with

resistance bands doing powerfit by stephanie hucklebee.  They are maybe 5 dvds

for about $20.00 that take 20 min. a day that are low inpact and fairly doable

for people with ms.  Then I advanced to barre workouts which are tougher.

They

work the butt, glute, hamstrings, quads mostly, but also have arm and ab

sections too.  They made a major difference with the mind body connection.

Before it felt like the quads and glutes weren't working when I walked up

hills.  After doing the workouts I can think engage or they automatically start

working when I walk.  Before they wern't getting the message to work as a

team.

Barre is the best workout that I have found.  Its no impact, has cardio and is

very effective.  It helps with strength, balance, and flexibility.  I know it

sounds like a dumb workout, but it has helped reverse atrophy in my bad leg

quite a bit.  It used to look like dough.  All pale and soft.  Now it has

definition, the calf has shape, you can see the muscle in the quad and calf.

It does sound worthwhile to give it a try (still being mindful of side

Hi Judith

Here's what I sent to the group yesterday:

'I asked the Prokarin group on Facebook (Treat MS with Prokarin) about getting

it in the UK, and got this reply:

" Yes Prokarin can by shipped to you in the UK. The newest formulation of

Prokarin is available as a disc that you simply peel off of a piece of paper and

stick in on your skin in the morn...ing and remove it at bedtime. The Prokarin

disc doesn't have the skin irritation issues that the Prokarin cream that is

applied to a patch can have. The Prokarin disc can be sent to you from the

Medicine Shoppe pharmacy in Toronto Ontario Canada as they can accept a

prescription from your doctor in the UK. The email contact for the Medicine

Shoppe pharmacy is linda@... If you don't have a doctor to

prescribe the Prokarin, you can contact Dr. Woeller via email as he will do

Skype consultations. His email is info@.... , as for your

question regarding athsmatics and Prokarin, we have listed every possible side

effect listed by the FDA for the active ingredients in Prokarin. We have people

with asthma using the Prokarin and we have not received any reports of

problems. "

I hope that answers some questions :)
