Hey there karen,

Well the heat has calmed a little, it's down into the 90's!

My husband took me up to the mountains this last weekend and no rages

since then.

He was upset, I haven't had a Graves rage since December. I swear the

heat was the cause..This week since I have been back I have been

limiting my physical exertion, not only because of the heat, but

because there's a really bad forest fire a few miles away that's made

our town fill with smoke.

I didn't know you were interested in the rages, I remember once Elaine

said that sometimes younger GD patients have more of the emotional

symptoms and I guess that's true, the rages were one of the largest

parts of my illness. I used to throw things, snap pencils, rip out my

hair, it was such an intense anger, my veins would feel like they were

going to explode and my heart would race until I was out of breath. 2

months before my diagnosis I flipped out at work, I mean really

flipped out, I worked as a computer support tech. I had

multiple lines and lots of frustrated people to deal with, well one

day, I snapped. I actually destroyed my phone, I bashed it into little

phone bits. I gave my notice and quit, then a month later I was diagnosed.

Thanks goodness I found out what it was, and I never want to

experience living that way again. I thought I was crazy!

Well that's all from here

Val
