Guest guest
I imagine you mean MealSafe, the spreadsheet I put together detailing all BBD food.MealSafe hasn't changed.Xylitol (E967) still represents a controversial health risk. I still follow the BBD myself but am no longer in the BBD Yahoo Group. When I left they were more interested in a program called TASTE which consisted of pre-packaged English supermarket-type food on which they were trying to get discounts so were asking members of the group to pay some sort of fee. As I do not believe in this type of food at all, I declined and left the group. should be able to tell you more as I believe she is still in the group. Guest guest
Thanks Janet! I know about the TASTE program, but I didn't know much about it (until now). The Mealsafe spreadsheet sounds interesting though. How can I get it? ----the BBD itself can be found here: http://www.msrc.co.uk/downloads/Direct-MS_Cookbook_0.pdf Hope this helps! Guest guest
My experiences with the BBD group turned me against the diet. The members were too concerned with finding processed foods that would replace disallows (egg replacements, soy sauce, etc.) and some of their choices were worse than what they were trying to replace. I was vegan at the time and I wrote Ashton Embry about it to get his opinion. He wrote back that I should eat soy if I didn't eat meat. I chose to eat neither. After four years eating a raw vegan diet I developed a string of major symptoms. I've been Paleo now for several years, most recently the Terry Wahls targeted symptom diet which is also what my Functional Neurologist prescribed for me. Whole foods, not packaged. I'm not walking yet but I have seen improvements. > > > I imagine you mean MealSafe, the spreadsheet I put together detailing all BBD food.MealSafe hasn't changed.Xylitol (E967) still represents a controversial health risk. Guest guest
That's great ! I'm thrilled to hear that you're doing well. :)I don't go in for the packaged crap either and don't believe we should be trying to source BBD alternatives to the food we actually shouldn't be eating (and never should have been in the first place!). I agree with your dietary choice - I do think the Paleo way ticks the right boxes and focuses on what our bodies need (and keeps us away from plastic and the chance of hidden additives). Guest guest
I eat pastured meat now (sometimes bone broth), but I don't eat soy. I have Hashimoto's thyroditis and it switches from hypo- to hyper-thyroid depending on what I eat. I try not to eat inflammatory foods to keep myself balanced. > > > That's great !
