Guest guest
Well I ticked off my endo unintentionally BUT I sure have been feeling better. After discussions here and a couple of other places about self-adjusting my PTU dosage I told my endo on my visit last week. WOW did he get upset. Even though I had a method to it he felt that now he would not be able to make a proper assessment in my next set of blood tests. I decided to take 2 25mg of PTU Monday to Thursday and then 1 25 mg Friday to Sunday. I had been feeling lethargic and tired and not as strong in my weight lifting as in the past. After about 2 to 3 weeks of the new adjustment I was so much more alert and able to handle more weights. HE was not happy with me and I guess what he was concerned about made sense --- except that he did call me today and guess what!? For the first time since these drugs in Feb my TSH actually came onto the radar screen! Yep. It measure .35 up from <.03 all this time. It does make you wonder doesn't it?
