Guest guest
In developing my intuition over the last half year, I've kind of been listening to what my stomach wants, or maybe my tastebuds. But today, I'm learning a new kind of eating intuition - the kind you get when you're in the middle of root canal work. :-( Today, I want NOTHING CRUNCHY, NOTHING HARD, basically nothing but soft, mushy, don't-upset-the-sore-bits-in-my-mouth kind of food. Today I'm sucking my meals to death (nice! sorry, TMI there, LOL). The potato chips that appealed to me so much in the last week - erk. No crispbread, no carrots, no nuts. Gimme MUSHY! Oh, and I've rediscovered the joys of icecream! Yay! (It's been a while.) Funny how when we're *clearly* in need of something, our intution kicks in strongly and we know how to respond. I'm hoping that one day my intuition will consistently be just as strong when there's nothing " wrong " with me - I'll just *know* what feels right and not spend so much time wondering " do I want that ... or that ... or that ...? " . Oh, I can't *wait* until next week's appointment <sigh> :-P~~~ S
Guest guest
Oui Sigi!! What a lesson! But hopefully your teeth at back to crisp chewing level soon. Meanwhile, ice cream will keep you alive and healthy ;-) Good for you to 'listen' to what is most appropiate for you at this moment in time. We truly do live moment-to-moment - hope you can find some pleasure to counteract the dental pain - yikes! ehugs, Katcha > > In developing my intuition over the last half year, I've kind of been > listening to what my stomach wants, or maybe my tastebuds. > > But today, I'm learning a new kind of eating intuition - the kind you > get when you're in the middle of root canal work. :-( Today, I want > NOTHING CRUNCHY, NOTHING HARD, basically nothing but soft, mushy, > don't-upset-the-sore-bits-in-my-mouth kind of food. Guest guest
Oh, Sigi, I really feel for you. I went through several months when i had two root canals three crowns and two extractions with five different dentists. I got a root canal one week, and a few days later, after all that, the tooth broke and had to be taken out. For some reason I kept breaking teeth. (I guess that partially explains why I'm so adamant about the damaging effects of stress) And you are so right about how it all becomes clear when when it comes down to basic survival. The other stuff makes so much noise it's hard to hear our intuition. We often forget that. Take care of yourself. > > In developing my intuition over the last half year, I've kind of been > listening to what my stomach wants, or maybe my tastebuds. > > But today, I'm learning a new kind of eating intuition - the kind you > get when you're in the middle of root canal work. :-( ........ > Funny how when we're *clearly* in need of something, our intution > kicks in strongly and we know how to respond.
