Guest guest
Dear FORUM, Re: /message/9443 This advocacy effort is wonderful......we appreciate and congratulate this initiative to ask Govt. to " clean up " this rather ambiguous sector. It must be pointed out that we see similar issues being played out across the country, In the southern states there are numerous so called " treatment centers " that are mushrooming on a regular basis. With no clear regulatory body these so called treatment centers have been violating all fundamental norms. Apart from the private sector. the Govt (especially MSJ) seriously needs to do some house cleaning, since many of the so called institutions funded by MSJ do not have or practice any minimum standards. Much of the mentioned atrocities are practiced at these MSJ funded sites; there are also instances of non existent or institutions where services provided are only on paper, but these institutions continue to get funds from MSJ.
