Guest guest
Great job!! It's all a learning process. :-) My favorite thing about IE is that I CAN have the things that I really want. If it's a trigger food for me I really try to savor each bite. I move it around in my mouth, noting texture and taste. It's not automatic; I have to really remind myself not to rush and take my time with it. Anyway, you did well. --- abouttwodays wrote: > Ah, macaroni and cheese. I was so used to rushing my food (feeling guilty? wanting to get rid of the " evidence " ?) that I never used to really enjoy it. It was just mechanical, and I could quickly get overfull before it had even registered. Now, I'm trying to be more mindful, enjoy those previously " forbidden " foods (helLOOOO linguine!) and find I don't actually feel like having so much of them any more. Guest guest
I disagree. So TOTALLY IE! You're like the little kid who asks his mom to make him something special and then he takes a couple bites, it doesn't satisfy, so he asks for something else...and mom gets mad. LOL!I love that you chose to eat a few more bites to see whether the mac and cheese was what you wanted, and when it wasn't, you chose eat something that would fill YOU up.Way to go! So not totally IE as I didn't listen to any hunger/fullness signals, but I DID pay attention to my wants and satisfaction levels and I'm totally happy now. Well, almost happy. I'm going to make myself some hot chocolate and THEN I'll be happy. Positivity. The opposite of my attitude yesterday. This feels SO much better!
