I think the article's point about being more modest is a good one.

However, I disagreed with the author's thesis that uninhibited

exposure

causes " so many emotional and self-esteem issues for so many women " .

I believe that our emotional and self-esteem issues are caused by a

feeling of not belonging. We seach out false solutions to fill the

void. In the case of body image, I believe our inherent inability to

conform to Madison Avenue's definition of beauty takes a large

portion of the blame. If we truly appreciated diversity, then we

would see men and women of all body types photographed in

periodicals. We feel demoralized when we are told that the way we

look isn't acceptable. Just think what would happen to racism if we

could learn to love our bodies...

Intuitive Living is about self-acceptance and listening to the

messages sent from our moral compass.
