Guest guest
Hi, I'm and I live in Memphis. I started living the non-diet philosophy when I was in the library looking for a new diet book that would help me lose the extra 80lbs or so I've been carrying around when I found Overcoming Overeating and When Women Stop Hating Their Bodies. Eventually I also read Intuitive Eating. These books started me on a path to a much happier and self-accepting way of living. I now accept that I am fat. And it's like " so what? " you know? I might be different later on, I might not. But I'm not going to put my life on hold anymore because I look different. I have my days where I'm uncomfortable or I go to the doctor's office and they insist on weighing me and then telling me I'm too fat and then I want to jump off of a cliff, start atkins and binge on a box of little debbie's (in reverse order). But now, I am getting to know myself and what my emotional eating triggers are and that means the world to me. Being skinny is no longer my goal. It's all about having a healthy relationship with food now. So I hope to get to know you all well and look forward to the wisdom gained when I hear your stories.
