I just hope it doesnt come to Australia. we already have a " END OF LIFE " policy

in our hospitals and i have no idea what the detials are. They removed the " DNR "

(do not resucitate) policy with this new END OF LIFE policy without telling

anyone. you only find out when the time comes and then it's too late.

And you have no say in it. you are simply told this is the way it is and ICU

(intensive care unit) will tell you they will not attempt to save your life

under this policy. And this is happing in Australia right NOW and has been for

some time.

I just wanted to respond to myself on the EOL policy as someone just sent me a

link for those in Australia like myself who are concerned about these things

too.

This does not sound anywhere near as bad as obama's health reform but if you

read between the lines this policy basically gives doctors the right to deny

health services to you as they see fit under the EOL policy which is only

enacted " in hospital " and is not a legal document. we are only one step away

from following what is happening in the USA right now.
