Guest guest
I'm another one who was basically frightened by the neuro into using Rebif shortly after diagnosis. I could only tolerate it for 7 months, partly due to the side effects, and also, I think it caused a rapid worsening of my symptoms. I'm currently exploring the whole Paleo paradigm, and have found some people whose MS symptoms have much improved with it. Here's an example: http://www.nutrisclerosis.com/ With Paleo eating, you want to definitely eat meats, but avoid meats that contain any hormones or antibiotics, and also avoid animals that were grain fed. So, we're looking for grass fed beef, wild fish, etc. In addition to avoiding grains, dairy, sugar, etc., it is suggested that people with autoimmune illnesses avoid additional food types, such as nuts and seeds, eggs, nightshade plants, and others. It certainly doesn't look easy! Alice > > > > Boy does this bring back memories! I had my entire house set up so that > > I could grab onto something from the couch to the bathroom. Guest guest
Bravo for you!! I think both this and the hard-core version of the BBD are the way forward! The diet can be difficult to stick to 24/7 when surrounded by so many people who expect us to eat 'normally' just like them and who are made somehow uncomfortable by us eating differently......but bottom-line, it is made easier by us remembering that we are healing ourselves through our food choices and that they will suffer for their dietary ignorance (even if we try to tell them!).I think it's great Alice and I'm sure you'll do fine! Guest guest
Wow, it makes you wonder what is the common denominator. I heard the China study said absolutely no dairy whatsoever. Which killed me, but I am getting over it. I could live on dairy but according to them, I wouldn't be living very well... figures. The paleo sounds good, but I am going to stick with this one just for a bit of variety and see how it goes. I just find it hard to believe that nuts and seeds are bad for autoimmune disorders... I love them too. I guess I was eating just the opposite of what I should be eating. > > > > I'm another one who was basically frightened by the neuro into using > Rebif shortly after diagnosis. Guest guest
I've been Paleo/BBD for at least 6 years. I used to love dairy but no can't stand the smell of it.I have many allergies to various nuts and seeds and notice I do better withoout them.I thought I was eating a healthy vegetarian diet for years but now realise that dairy, legumes and gluten are bad for me.JanetTo: mscured From: holistichealthandenergy@...
