Hello Everyone,

I joined a week or so ago and wanted to introduce myself. My name is and I am fairly new to the IE approach. I love the idea of non-dieting and I know it's where I want to be at. I find this time of year exhausting with all the " diet " commercials and various marketing on ways to lose weight. It's hard to keep my spirits up with IE, when all I see are the " diets " that people try to push out there. Everyone wants a quick fix, but I know nothing is quick and nothing is easy when it comes to my weight and my body image. In order to keep my focus on IE I decided to join this group in hopes of the support that I know will help from those that know this approach works and makes sense. I've struggled with my weight and body issues most of my life and about 3 years ago lost about 40 pounds. I started exercising and just watching what I ate and eating healthier. I was so happy with myself and how I looked. And then I hit a place where I stopped losing weight and then I got so preoccupied with figuring out why I stopped and what I needed to do to lose again. That's when I started counting calories and then eventually getting into the restriction and binging cycle. Now I am trying to find my way back and get to a happy place with food and myself again. And I know IE is that way to do that. I hope that this group will give me the support I need to get my life back and stop feeling out of control with food.

Welcome :) If you read back a few posts (at Yahoo site) I think

you will find that there are many people who feel like you do, have

many good ideas to share and support for what you are doing too. I

know that if it wasn't for the support and input from this group, I

sure wouldn't be any where near getting IE into my life either. Post

any questions and reactions you have to what you are trying as well as

reading here and I bet you soon feel like IE is old hat. Then comes

the FUN part of making IE part of your life too. Best to you - Katcha
