I know what you mean. I notice these days the words 'fast and easy' are

everywhere -

especially when it comes to food. You don't often here 'nutrition' mentioned.

it's as if the

only thing that counts is getting something on the table at a certain time - not

whether it

actaully does our bodies any good or not.

Low fat is another one. there is NO evidence that low fat is good for us - and

plenty of

evidence it is bad, yet the myth persists. people buy into it and get less and

less healthy

every single day. Not to mention suffer through a lot of food that would taste a

whole lot

better if it wasn't low fat :)

Understanding that fat - especially saturated fat - is healthy and necessary was

like the IE

'Rosetta Stone' for me. So I guess it's understandable that I go on about it a

bit. I actaully

dont' talk about it in 'real life' but I figure people here are more likely to

understand.

When I first started IE, I still believed fat was bad, so it caused a lot of

struggle. I thought I

was never going to get anywhere cuz no matter how I tried, I still could never

stop

craving food with fat. Other people could do it, but what was wrong with me.

When I

realised my body was not the one that was wrong, but those giving bad advice

that were

wrong, that's when it all fell into place for me. That's when the smile came to

my face and

stayed there and I started to trust my body in a way I never had before. My body

and I

became a team.

I know there are others in the same place - and others have a totally different

thing to

overcome. So many differnt stories here - so many individuals. It's great to

have such a

diverse group and that everyone is so willing to share!

> It's about convenience for most people, I think, for one thing. Ivy, I'm sure

when you

started eating this way it took time to do your research and re-educate yourself

and it

takes time to find some of those real, organic, raw foods you mention.
