Guest guest
I've mentioned this before, but it's worth mentioning again. I have had fantastic results with reducing the level of oxalates I eat. I've been doing LOD (low oxalate diet) for over a year now, and I've seen even further symptom reduction from it. I experience less brain fog, fewer muscle spasms, and the daily pain has become a thing of the past. LOD is counter-intuitive to those who have studied raw foods, and general advice on healthy eating, but I have had some serious results. There's been some negativity lately and I just want to remind everyone that it IS possible to eliminate symptoms and reverse ms. I've done it.. and many other people on this list have done it also. I don't think any of us used exactly the same protocols. Everyone's body is different.. but there is a natural solution out there for most of us.. you just have to find it. Nobody said treating ms naturally was easy. I'll be the first one to say it can be HARD.. but it's worth it. For the newer people, I joined this list 6 years ago. At that time I could not walk because of balance problems, couldn't see to drive, read or work on the computer, most days I could not even hold a fork because of pain and muscle spasms. I had lost a good portion of sensation in my legs, hands and arms. When I walked or stood it felt like I had needles in my feet. I stuttered so badly that my own family could no longer understand me. I was so brain fogged that I could barely think at all a lot of the time. There were very few things I was able to do for myself. My neurologist told my husband to start researching nursing homes because I would need one in 6 months to a year. At that time we had 6 kids at home.. the youngest was less than a year old. Today I have recovered almost completely. I run two businesses, play in an orchestra, I've earned my BA in Natural healing and right now I'm in school to become a naturopath. I've earned my Master Herbalist certs, and my Reiki Master certs. I work part time as a Certified Healing Touch Practictioner, and homeschool my kids. I drive again and my vision is better than 20/20. I'm still recovering lost muscle mass and strength, but there are very few things I can't do now. If I eat something I shouldn't or get lazy about my supplements I have mild symptoms, but most days nobody knows I have ms unless I tell them. It IS possible to recover.
