Even with the control solution, it read far below the suggested readings. UPS will pick up the Prodigy today. and Lynn Prodigy meter Hi , I have a few suggestions that could be possible for the difference. First, are your hands clean? I have had big differences in my readings when my hands are dirty. Second, can your fiance check to see if the spot at the tip of the test strip is full of blood. If you're not scooping up the blood properly, then you can have a reading but not a proper one. Third, the only other thing to do to put your mind to rest, is to test the meter against the lab or test the meter with control solution. Short of those suggestions, perhaps the meter is faulty or the strips may be expired. Just to let you know the Prodigy was tested against the accuchek meter to ensure quality and safety. This is the only way they find out the problems and work out the bugs. One other thought I had was what kind of batteries did you have in the meter? For instance, I have a talking kitchen scale, and if you put in cheap batteries, the connection is not made properly and the scale works but not properly. Guest guest Posted January 1, 2008 Report Share Posted January 1, 2008 Hello everyone, I got my Prodigy voice meter yesterday, but I found out about it today. The mail man just leaves packages downstairs. Anyway, I have know idea how to use this, or what I should do first. So if anyone has any ideas, and wouldn't mind sharing, I'd really appreciate it. Do I have to calibrate it first? It came with some drops, but only one bottle. The Acucheck has two, so this confused me just a bit. Also, if someone could send me the manual, I'd really appreciate it. You can send mail to, princessterri76@... Well I think that's all for now.
