HIV/AIDS Vacancies at SAATHII's Hyderabad office

Background: Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in India

(www.saathii.org), a registered non-profit organization, works to

strengthen and expand HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services in

India. Headquartered in Chennai, SAATHII works in Tamil Nadu, Andhra

Pradesh, West Bengal, Orissa, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra and

Manipur.

In the Hyderabad office, programs focus on training and technical

assistance for organizations implementing Prevention of Mother to

Child Transmission in high-prevalence states, Care and Support for

Orphans and Vulnerable Children, and need-based TA to government and

civil society sector. SAATHII serves as consortium office for

Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission programs funded by

Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) that are being

implemented in four states at 121 health Care facilities.

SAATHII has the following openings that need to be filled immediately

for its EGPAF-PMTCT Consortium office. Interested candidates please

1. Senior Program Manager (Job Code: HYD-SPM-1108)

Responsibilities

* Day to Day oversight of the EGPAF consortium office staff.

* Mentoring and capacity building of EGPAF-consortium team.

* Partner management including assistance in preparation of

renewal grants, contracting and financial issues.

* Technical Assistance to EGPAF funded PMTCT programs including

training, e-mail and telephone consultation and site visits.

* Coordination of technical assistance by the consortium team and

EGPAF partners to the State AIDS Control Societies.

* Participation in supportive monitoring of EGPAF- Consortium Partners

* Over sight of Impact analyses of current PMTCT programs.

* Quarterly and Annual Report preparation.

* Resource mobilization for program continuation and expansion.

* Liaison with government and non-government stake holders working

on PMTCT issues.

Qualification and Experience

* The candidate must be a post graduate in social science / public

health/development management or its equivalent with 5-10 years

experience in the field of HIV/AIDS with specific focus on care,

support and treatment issues.

* Proven ability in managing large programs.

* Ability to work with large network of health care providers from

the government, private and non-governmental sectors.

* Proven ability in mentoring and training a diverse team.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

* Willing to travel to six high prevalence states.

* Experience in grant writing

* Experience in clinical management of HIV will be an asset.

* Ability to work under pressure.

2. Documentation Manager (Job Code: HYD-DM-1108)

Responsibilities

* Responsible for grant writing for continuation and expansion of

EGPAF-PMTCT program in India.

* Responsible for all activities related to content, information

and report management for EGPAF-PMTCT program.

* Preparation of reports.

* Coordination of best practice documentation of EGPAF-PMTCT program.

* Coordination of development and translation of patient education

materials for EGPAF-PMTCT program.

Qualification & Experience

* The candidate must be a post graduate in social science / public

health/development management

* Minimum five years of grant writing or documentation experience.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

* Excellent computer skills

* Proven ability to develop and maintain working relationship with

partners from the government, non-government and academic sectors.

* Ability to work in a large and diverse team.

* Willing to travel

3. Consultant for Best Practice Documentation

Major Responsibilities

* Documentation of best practices of EGPAF funded programs in India.

Qualifications and Experience

* An educational background in Medicine, Social Sciences or Public Health

* Extensive experience in documenting HIV related programs.

* Willing to travel extensively to the partners sites for data

collection in four states.

* Ability to work with minimum supervision.

* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
