 AIDS Awareness Program for Kinnars held at Patna

Public Awareness for Healthful Approach for Living (PAHAL), a not-for-profit

outfit dedicated to spread awareness about health issues, in Patna on Tuesday

organized a program to educate people about the AIDS virus, how it spreads and

how it can impact one's physical and social environment.

The program held at Patna's Hindi Sahitya Sammelan in Kadam Kuan was aimed to

attract the members of the Kinnar community and inaugurated by Patna Central MLA

Arun Kumar Sinha.

Chief organizer and Medical Advisor of PAHAL, Dr Diwakar Tejaswi in his key note

address, emphasized the need for protective sex in order to avoid extracting

AIDS virus.

Noted physician from Kolkata Santosh Kumar Giri and Mr Shauvik Ghosh of SAATHI

also addressed the meet.
