Guest guest
Hi , Instead of trying to directly treat MS-related symptoms (such as cognitive problems), I think your husband's wisest course of action would be to employ a comprehensive approach that includes a diet low in saturated fat (like the Best Bet Diet), exercise, detoxification, a low stress lifestyle, food supplements, glyconutrients, Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), and a host of other things that some MSers have found very helpful. Guest guest
Hi , It is so nice to see someone trying to persuade someone with MS that there are other ways of dealing with it and that it needn't be as bad as it maybe is for him at the moment. If he goes to see a neurologist, the chances are he will come away with an armful of drugs which have horrendous side effects (just my opinion). You say he isn't open to new research so I doubt he will be interested in CCSVI treatment but that cleared the pressure in my head, confusion and cognitive problems immediately 100%. Prior to that I was on the Best Bet Diet and the removal of mainly gluten helped big time. Various alternative supplements have helped me in the past with memory problems - gingko biloba, ginseng, co enzyme Q10 and pycnogenol. Good luck with trying to get him to try any of that! If you don't change, you won't change! Janet To: mscured From: jhausler@... My husband usually isn't very open to new research or alternative therapies. His approach is to go to the doctor and do what the doctor says. I'm very grateful that this group is here and would love to hear any suggestions or input that might help him. He is at a point where he might be more open to new therapies. Many thanks and best wishes to all of you,
