Aliceanne, Looks like growth plates to me, Margaret

>>> Alice A Sawyer 09/09/01 09:18PM >>>

Here is the complete dictation. I don't know which way to go. You all

came up with great answers:

Any ideas to clarify this situation?

Thanks again.

Aliceanne

Pt. is a 10-year-old white female who presented with a CC of nonspecific

pain, Lt. foot. Pt. states that she had an injury several weeks ago and

she has pain on walking and also while resting at times. Pt. and her

mother feel that they would like X-ray to R/O any bone injury.

Exam reveals nonspecific pain upon palpation at the 1st metatarsal head

and at the medial forefoot without erythema, edema or ecchymosis.

Radiographs taken, 3 views, reveal normal irregular growth S/L traits

(OR CRATES OR RATES OR PLATES?) without any sign of fracture.

A: Compensated GS equinus B/L

P: Dispense orthosis. Break-in period discussed.

R/A: Two weeks or PRN.
