Penny - I'd just walk in and give them your resume, explain your life, your

daughter, and show them your IEP, and what services you have gotten for her.

Talk to whoever is in charge about all you know about advocacy, IEP's,

sensory issues, symptoms, enzymes, etc - - and everything you say should

speak for itself.

Good luck - it sounds just right for you.

I beg to differ... are you not yourself an advocate for your own child?

Are you not a teacher, occupational therapist, speech therapist?

Maybe you just need to add onto your resume

Penny! Really!

You are more than qualified for this position...what have you been doing for the

last 7 years!

Surely life experience can be included in a resume...

(inAus) saying GO FOR IT!!!

Job Help

I am thinking about putting a resume and cover letter together for a job

opening at Nevada Pep (Parents Educating Parents). It is a part time

Training Specialist, helping parents understand special education laws so

they can advocate for their children.

Penny,

I interviewed for a similar position about a month ago. I addressed this

issue in my cover letter. Let me know and I will send you a copy.

P.S. -- I was their " second " choice, waaaaaaah.
