Guest guest
Hi Everyone, This doc had his recorder on the wrong speed for all of these dictations, so the sound is really muffled and garbled in spots. I sure hope some of you more experienced folks might have an idea about what he's saying. Exam (For context) " Both hands show hypoesthesia but no anesthesia of the left more than right thumbs, index and middle fingers, not involving the fourth and fifth fingers bilaterally. The hypoesthesia and especially the pain radiates up the palmar surface of the forearm and outside of both upper arms; there may also be some hyperesthesia in that distribution, especially when aggravated by positive Tinel's sign and with dorsiflexion of the wrists more than palmar flexion. " Impression: " Bilateral left more than right median neuropathy, possibly due to carpal tunnel syndrome but consider s/l *proximal* pathology as well due to the paresthesias and discomfort in the upper arms and forearms. " Thanks. Joan
