Dear all,

You may have once read:

A two-minute cell phone call alters a child's brain function for one hour.

But your cellphone is not the only source of microwave radiation we are exposed

to. In recent years there has been an explosive increase in our exposure to

microwaves from cellphone masts (2G, 3G, UMTS,...), wireless DECT-phones,

wireless DECT-baby monitors, wireless (WiFi/WLan) internet, satellites for

wireless internet, etc.

In every European country the governments are allowing the (telecom) industry to

install even more and new sources of pulsed microwaves such as from masts with

4G (LTE), WiMax and " smart " energy meters.

There is a direct link between the current rise of chronic disorders (Alzheimer,

ADHD, fibromyalgia, CFS, insomnia, stress related disorders etc.) and the

exponential rise in electrosmog during the past 10 years.

Thousands of professors, researchers and medical doctors have been warning

politicians repeatedly that the current exposure to pulsed microwaves is a

direct threat to public health and that new safety biologically-based standards

for EMF exposures are needed.

The politicians need to realise that public health is the utmost important and

act accordingly.

That's why we will unite our protest!

On the 16th of Nov. citizens from throughout Europe will protest in Brussels.

We demand " LESS ELECTROSMOG! " , we protest against:

- The EU-conference (held on the 16th and 17th of Nov.) lacks scientists with

opposing views. None of the scientists of whom their research has proven that

there are harmful health effects of pulsed microwave radiation are invited. We

for instance refer to: L. Hardell, H. Lai, M. Kundi, F. Adlkofer, G. Oberfeld,

O. Johansson, M. Havas, etc. (details of the conference:

http://www.onetec.be/EMF2011)

- The European governments and their legislations that don't take into account

the harmful sub-thermal health effects of EMF.

- The fact that - except in Sweden and Spain - there is still no recognition of

electrohypersensitivity as a functional impairment.

- The impact of the telecom industry on research. Research sponsored by the

telecom industry finds no biological effects nine times more often than research

paid for by independent parties. Coincidence?

We invite everybody to join our protest!

When? On Wednesday the 16th of November 2011 from 16h until 18h30.

Where? Next to the entrance of the Charlemagne-building

(where the EU-conference on EMF and Health is being held).

Address: Wetstraat 170 (Rue de la Loi 170), 1000 Brussels, Belgium.

Contact? If you will join our protest or have questions

please send an e-mail to:

steven AT petition-electrosmog.be

Please read (and sign) the petition at http://www.Petition-Electrosmog.be and

forward this to your family, friends and colleagues!

Thank you.

The organisers of the protest:

StopUMTS.be (Belgium), StralingsArmVlaanderen.org (Belgium), Collectif

Dé-Mobilisation (Belgium), StopUMTS.nl (the Netherlands), AMICA (Italy) and

RobindesToits.org (France).

The protest is supported by:

- Professor Olle Johansson (Dep. of Neuroscience of the Karolinska Institute in

Stockholm; The Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm):

- Professor Emeritus Dr. Freddy Decreus (University of Gent)

- Dr. med. Gerd Oberfeld (Salzburg Government, Public Health Dep.)

Professor Olle Johansson:

" Governments and health protection agencies usually hide behind out-of-date

" official guidelines " that were drawn up when it was thought that the only way

that living organisms could be harmed by electromagnetic radiation was if it was

sufficiently strong to cause significant acute heating. And in fluid-filled

plastic dolls!

This is totally false! There has been countless papers in scientific journals

over several decades that show very clearly that there are non-thermal

biological effects (some of them extremely harmful) of electromagnetic fields

that are well below the official safety guidelines. "
