Guest guest Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 Dear Sir/Madam, On the ocassion of World AIDS Day observance, Karunya Trust has the pleasure to invite all the members of civil society to a Panel Discussion on Ensuring Rights of People Living with HIV: Present and Future It is scheduled on 3rd December 2008; Time: 3 pm to 5: 30 pm at the Mysore Association, Bombay, Conference Hall, Near Maheshwari Udyan, Bhaudaji Road, Matunga (E), Mumbai. Karunya Trust is a Multi Religious Non Governmental Organization, registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 formed in May 1998. It stands for the noble ideals of the development of the society, as children its central point. Our main intervention areas are: Health, Community Development, Women Empowerment and HIV & AIDS. The Trust has been working with People Living with HIV (PLHIV) since last three years. It is a State Recipient of Global Fund for children living with and affected by HIV & AIDS. It is working with 9 implementing agencies in different districts of Maharashtra. It has been working on empowering PLHIV and strongly believes in their rights as human rights. At the point, we are well aware of our social commitment and love for the discriminated and stigmatized people. This initiative is for advocating rights of People living with HIV. The prominent personalities, media, NGO representative, representative of positive people network and many other influential people will be participating in the panel discussion. On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Trust has taken this humble step to ensure rights of PLHIV. This Panel discussion is aiming to create awareness about rights of People living with HIV as human rights. We are expecting around 200 audiences from NGOs, Network by PLHIV, media and Social activists. We are looking forward to meeting you at the Panel Discussion, which we hope will provide an excellent opportunity to meet and raise voice to achieve social Justice.
